Take Me Out to the Ballgame

So there are terrible inconsistencies with this movie with time. We know that Teddy Roosevelt was at the game in the movie so we know the time period is 1900-1910. However the song that they first sing the infamous "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" was NOT the 1908 version. It is the 1927 version. It is easy to see why it was probably confused. People did not remember the older onee and knew that the song had been changed. It also fit Gene Kelly "Nelly Kelly?" But it was still wrong.
The plot was along the lines of any good sports movie. It was not a standout plot but the acting was not bad and Frank seemed more relaxed. The costumes were okay and the songs were great. Baseball used to be sort of managed more in that way as well.
My favorite moments:
The Hat my dear old father wore-once again Gene made dancing look easy and was incredibly sexy in the process
It's Fate Baby-Even though she is pushy and a turn off in most ways by being such a stalker, she has charm because this girl does not give up. She knows she is right and goes after her man the way a man would. It is a kind of a turn of events and it turns out it's a turn on for each side when they do it with passion. (at least in the movies)This is solely my opinion-normally this is not cute. Then she still turns to goo when he kisses her.
Then who could forget "The biggest pair of liars in the U-S-AAAAA!" I love that line.
The plot seems to be Anchors Aweigh with a few twists. Such as calling out that they are lying about the girls they kissed opposed to "I Begged Her" in Anchors Aweigh.
GO ESTHER WILLIAMS! A popular synchronized swimmer before that was an Olympic event.

Next-An American in Paris!
